"The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World " by Gabriel Garcia

The Handsomest man in the World is about a man that appears near the sea. Two kids are playing near the sean and they see something and they go check what it is. Its a dead man. hen the word is spread some man came to take him to the nearest house. They are all amazed by him, specially the woman. They see that he is the most handsome and muscular man they have ever seen around. At some point the man get jealous and want to drown him again. Then they feel bad and prepare him the greatest funeral.

The kind of funeral that I want for me when I die is a happy funeral. I want my family and freinds to be happy. I want this because when I die is because it's Gods will. I've never been in a funeral, I get depressed, but It all happends for a reason. I don't think its similar to how I want my funeral to be, but I hope that they would think similar to how I do. What this story reveals to me about the  Latin  American's attitudes toward death is that when they do funerals its very important on how they do it and what they want for their dead people.

"No Dogs Bark" by Juan Rulfo

This story is about a father and his son going to a village. The time was dark and they could barely see anything in the dark. The father asked him if he saw anything or heard anyhting . The kid said he didn't although he did hear dogs bark. The father treated him very indifferent, he was a little cruel with him. I guess that he father was sad because the mother had died and he blamed his son.

When I have my own kids, I will try my hardest to make then understand what life is about and how to handle problems. When they have a problem I will talk to them to help then solve it the right way. I hope I don' become like Ignacios' father, I want to be a good parent and have them grow with good manners and good beliefs. I woun't be like him because my parents have tought me so much and how to be a good person, so I will pass that on to my kids.

-BORDERS- by Thomas King

Borders is a story that shows us how proud and authentic people can be. When the mother and her son go to visit Leticia, they face a step that we might all have gone through at some point. The mom and the kid were  blackfoot and an officer asked if they were American or Candian. The mom as we know if very proud of her background and where she comes from, so she couldn't choose either  one. She was trying to get her point across, an at the end she did and people understood were she come from.

What is more important to you: your nationality or your ethnicity?? Why?
In my opinion they are both important ,but to me ethnicity is more important, thats just for the simple reason that I am pround of my background... I'm very mexican ♥
